Civil & Structural
We perform takeoffs from digital plans or hard copy blue prints and drawings. When the takeoff is complete, we will send you the material list and quantities obtained from the drawings in Excel, which can be emailed to your supplier of choice for pricing. Once they price the materials, it can be imported into the estimating worksheet providing you with quantity and cost totals for your project.
Field Audits
After your qauntity takeoff worksheet is completed, for a reasonable rate one of our representatives will visit your project site to conduct a material audit. The audit will be used to verify that the correct items and quantities were delivered onsite. Once the contractor has completed field work and has passed inspections, any variances or left over materials on the job site will be recorded. The material list will be revised and necessary adjustments will be made to the takeoffs based on the audit.
For private home developers for example, this takeoff will now serve as your base material takeoff. Therefore the next time you build that particular model home you will have an exact material cost. Not taking advantage of this service can cost you thousands of dollars due to extra material left on the job site.
Work Progress Assessment
Having the ability to control labour costs is just as important as controlling Material costs. Contractors should not have to bill you for more than what they have constructed or installed, but unfortunately this does happen.
We perform quantity takeoffs from your blue prints and drawings and compare the quantities with what was constructed by the contractor in the field. By using this analysis we can determine the percentage of work completed.
This service is beneficial to you as an owner or main contractor when evaluating progress claims to be paid to contracors and/or subcontractors.
